Welcome to the first Five Nudes Friday of 2025.
Looking back at 2024, I can’t shake the feeling that the world hasn’t become a better, safer, or more enjoyable place. If anything, it feels more aggressive and uncertain, and I think many people share that sense of unease about where things are headed. There are plenty of challenges ahead, and just as many ways to look at them.
It’s getting harder to tell the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, and who or what to trust. Too many voices, too many agendas. And honestly, when I spend too much time thinking about all of it, I notice it drags me down. It makes me feel hopeless, stuck in all the negativity.
But then, I start working on this newsletter.
When I’m researching photographers and selecting photos, I notice how much of a difference it makes in my mood. Beautiful art has this quiet way of pulling me out of that downward spiral. It shifts my focus to what connects us instead of what divides us.
It’s not that art fixes the world, but it does remind me of what’s still good and meaningful.
So, without making things heavier than they need to be, I hope this first Five Nudes Friday of the year brings you a little bit of that same feeling—a pause, a breath, a reminder of beauty.
Enjoy, and here’s to finding more of those moments in 2025.
Oops, my mistake!
I just realised that almost every newsletter I’ve sent out in the last few weeks had a button inviting you to upgrade to a paid subscription.
Let me be clear: it’s not my intention to make money from sharing other photographers’ work. This newsletter is a passion project, something I love doing and want to share with like-minded people—like you!
I originally enabled payments because someone asked if they could make a pledge to support my efforts in promoting artistic nude photography. I didn’t realise this would trigger prompts from Substack asking subscribers to upgrade.
Substack really wants creators to make money (because that’s how they make money too). They add those buttons and send those upgrade emails automatically, and I have very little control over it.
So, let me set this straight: please don’t feel pressured to upgrade. Nothing will change if you don’t. There are no hidden perks, no exclusive content waiting behind a paywall. Everything stays exactly the same.
If you do decide to upgrade, I’ll see it as an incredibly generous donation—a token of appreciation for the time, effort, and love I pour into this newsletter. And I’ll use that support to continue creating my own artistic nude photography.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for sharing this space with me!
What you do is important in this stressful world today. Thank you very much, and please continue in the same vein.
Hello Aimar, and thank you for your beautiful selection. I am trying to find the author of your fist photograph @jesse . Feels like Brandt or Gibson, but it may not be theirs. Do you have the link or the author? Thanks again!
