Five Nudes Friday #15
Wow! I’m still amazed by the diversity of work within the artistic nude genre. So many photographers creating amazing work! Just like in painting, the development of the medium leads to many different uses of those mediums.
A tiny bit of self promotion! 😉
I made this photo in Budapest, august 2021. When I arrived at the tiny AirBnb I was immediately struck by the soft light and classic interior. Having planned a shoot with Rina the day after, I was looking how I could use the apartment as a backdrop for the shoot.
Then I saw the painting of a vase with flowers on the wall and I felt I could do something with that. Then I saw the chair and the table, and this setting and light reminded me of the well know Vermeer painting The Milkmaid.
So I went off to the store for some milk and bread, luckily the rest was already at the apartment. I replaced a large mirror on the wall, with the painting and the set was complete.
Amazing shot!!! Just love it. The colors and the set are great.
